The first solo exhibition of Mulas was dedicated to a selection of portraits, which revealed a highlight attention to social criticism, at the Galleria Diaframma in Milan in 1976; after that exhibition event follows in 1979 the exhibition at the Galleria Il Milione in Milan, where portraits of intellectuals were presented to the public as a result of a technical experiment with the 20mm wide-angle lens made during the '78 Biennale and at the P.A.C.
