The Herbert Art Gallery and Museum is situated in the heart of Coventry, near the Cathedral. The Visual Arts Collection features mainly 20th century art, particularly the 1950s post war period and the city's rebirth. Other main areas collected include British watercolours and prints, pre 1900 British paintings, British figure drawings from 1800, images of Lady Godiva, works by local 19th century artist David Gee, far Eastern ceramics, Western 17th century art, World Art and topographical views of Coventry and Warwickshire.
