Born in 1961, Sijmen Hendriks started as a freelance photographer in 1993 and has since worked for numerous magazines, graphic design companies and PR agencies. His photography has taken him across the globe, to India, Nepal, Morocco, Jordan, the Dominican Republic, Norway, Ireland and the UK, and has been exhibited several times. Hendriks' passion for nature photography led to a exhibition at the Natural History Museum in Rotterdam, with an accompanying book on the birds of the North Sea entitled 'Turn the Tide'.
