After art school and a career in advertising in London as an art director and then as a designer in new product development I went freelance in the 1980s. My work included package design as well as food illustration commissions for magazines. I also began painting for myself and in the 1990s sold, reproduced as cards and prints through companies like Rosenstiels and Images & Editions throughout Europe and North America. My paintings also sold well in galleries including the Mall Galleries in London and Galerie d’Orsay in Paris. My husband was a journalist and I spent over 10 years working with him as a photographer.
