We handle all aspects of the copyright administration in an artist’s oeuvre, starting from the cataloguing and keywording process of the artworks through to providing extensive in-house picture research services and high-quality digital files tailored to the needs of each individual client.

Each Bridgeman Copyright artist has an online biography and clear links to their body of work available for licensing through Bridgeman. We actively promote our roster of artists, representing them at international trade shows and marketing to targeted audiences through our PR campaigns, direct email marketing and social media presence, as well as in direct meetings to pitch new content to clients and to inspire them in their next projects.

Our dedicated Business Development and Account Managers work closely with the Content Partnership Team to ensure that our clients are fully informed when it comes to copyright and rights clearance. With decades of experience in copyright licensing, we are uniquely placed to communicate directly with clients on behalf of the copyright holder, negotiating reproduction and copyright fees and billing the client on your behalf. This revenue is shared with you as the artist or estate. The copyright we administer is never assigned: All copyright remains with the artist or estate and the credit to the artist is prominently displayed on our website, as well as in the licences we grant for usage which clearly outline the exact permissions that have been granted to the end user.

In addition, we are proud to work with our sister company, the Artists' Collecting Society (ACS) which is the only Community Interest Company dedicated to the collection of the Artist's Resale Right (Droit de Suite) on behalf of artists and artists' estates in both the UK and the EU.
