'I was born in North Wales near Wrexham on June 27th 1949. I grew up in Chester, studied in Norwich, taught English at a college in Worthing and now live on a heavily wooded farm near Horsham, Sussex with my husband David. Our children, Edward and Sarah, have left home. Pre-Renaissance Italian, early Dutch and 18th&19th Century English and German artists have influenced my approach to painting (Fra Angelico, Uccello, Van Eyck, Durer - to name but a few!) Perhaps my greatest inspiration, though, is the British landscape, the sea, my family, and the animals who live with us.'
