Biography
British artist Sheri Gee has been developing her art practice over the last 20 years, after graduating from the Kent Institute of Art and Design with a degree in Illustration. Her current work is usually rooted in the figurative and portraiture, having spent many years experimenting with different materials and mediums at life drawing sessions. Sheri finds inspiration in the world around her - from commuting to London, bringing up a young family and living in Sussex. Sheri was one of 21 finalists in the 2018 Holly Bush Emerging Woman Painter Prize and was selected for the 2018 Society of Women Artists annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London. Most recently, Sheri was longlisted in the 2019 Jackson's Open Painting Prize with one of her seed packet paintings. Sheri also exhibits with several art groups in her locality and has had pieces in several London exhibitions.
