Mark Baring began painting in Paris in 1956, copying the work of classical artists. Later he explored abstract painting, which further developed his sense of structure and color and detailed composition. Some distinctive characteristics emerged, including the portrayal of often magnificent architectural elements and, ultimately, an interest in Naïve Art.
