Images sourced from Bridgeman have been utilised in the latest issue of the American public policy magazine City Journal. Historically, the magazine is significant as it was one of the first to link to blogs on its website that reinforced its articles, and engaged more directly with the world of the internet.
The magazine is published by the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research, which is based in New York City. While based in New York, the magazine has a national or international scope through the contributions of writers from around the world.
The images in particular are photographs of several streets in New York after snowfall by Katie Harker. The images were adjusted for usage in the magazine, including the addition of a black and white filter.
City Journal was founded in 1990 as a response to a percieved crisis of governance, especially its high crime and broader concerns about the future of American cities. In 2015, the magazine celebrated its 25th anniversary.
