Jane Tattersfield grew up in London and studied illustration at Kingston. She began her career with commissions from publishers, magazines, graphic design and greeting card companies and went on to specialise in children's books and television work, with clients including Harper Collins, Conde Nast, Cancer Research, Tesco and Channel 4. As an illustrator she created a highly colourful, intricately decorative style, with influences from India, South America, textile, folk and Islamic art that still inspire her work today. More recently Jane has created oil paintings inspired by ancient myths and the cycle of nature, which have sold successfully, and has a range of greetings cards, prints, silk scarves and cushions under the name TATTERSFIELD DESIGNS (www.janetattersfield.co.uk/tattersfielddesigns), which are selling in shops in the UK and abroad.
