Major departments in the Museum of Fine Arts vast art collections include Europe, Art of the Ancient World, Art of the Americas, Musical Instruments, Asia, and Prints and Drawings. The collection encompasses Japanese, Chinese, and Indian painting and sculpture; Japanese prints and metalwork; Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese ceramics; and the arts of the Islamic world.
