Biography

Olivier Martin Gambier is a Paris-based photographer known for his diverse and captivating body of work. He began his photographic journey in 1991 at Cooper Union in New York, studying under the guidance of renowned photographers Gregory Crewdson and architect Peter Eisenmann. In 1990, he graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de La Photographie in Arles, France, after earning a DEUG in Arts Plastiques from Paris 1 Sorbonne in 1987. Gambier's career has spanned the globe, from photographing the architectural wonders of Le Corbusier in India to documenting the urban landscapes of cities like Shanghai and Buenos Aires. His collaboration with Renault allowed him to capture the essence of automotive design, and he contributed significantly to the inventory of Le Corbusier's constructions. In recent years, Gambier's work has explored environmental themes, including an ongoing project on marine debris with support from IFREMER and CEDRE. His exhibitions have drawn thousands of visitors, such as the 2021 showcase of his 'REFLUX' series at the Maison de la Baie d'Audierne.
