MACLAURIN, ROBERT
Biography
Robert Maclaurin is one of Berkeley Square Gallery’s main contemporary painters. A Scottish artist, he trained in drawing and painting at Edinburgh College of Art (1979-84). Maclaurin’s work is landscape based and at present concentrates on Scottish, Australian and New Zealand subject matter. Works range in size and are mainly oil paintings. He also makes prints, watercolours and drawings. The artist is the winner of many awards and Scholarships including a Turkish Government Scholarship, Scottish Arts Council Bursary and a Sir Robert Menzies Fellowship to Australia. Selected public collections include the British Contemporary Art Society, Flemings Holdings Collection and the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.
