Gerhardt Isringhaus was born left-handed on March 17th, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. His father was a printer and his mother a housewife. He studied at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, during the 60’s. He worked many years as a commercial artist and photographer in California. He now lives in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, México where he continues to create paintings, prints and photographs, combining abstraction, expressionism and realism, in a left-handed way.
