Haydn Cornner became a successful illustrator in the early 1980s, with clients including the BBC and Penguin Books. He has noted that he gains inspiration from daydreaming, reading, books and travelling. Haydn uses oil paints to build contrast and detail. Haydn has exhibited with Portal Painters since 1992, this includes five solo shows with Portal alongside exhibitions at all the major Art Fairs. In 2004, Haydn exhibited with Portal at the Edinburgh Festival. Cornner has additionally illustrated two children’s books ‘ My China Journey’ and ‘ King Ivan’s Dream’.
