Biography
Robert Tyndall was born in London and gained a scholarship to Harrow School of Art. For some years he was with the merchant navy, returning to London in 1950 when he worked with the artist Ian Lyon and in various commercial studios. between 1953-64 he used an artist agent, Frank Fisher, of the Tudor Art Agency and illustrated the first book by the young Antonia Fraser, also taking on the illustration of Noddy books for Enid Blyton after the death of Harmsen Van Der Beek, the original artist. After a career in publishing, Robert Tyndall returned to painting. He continues to travel and his paintings are in collections in the USA, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Australia and Britain.
