The Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden (SKD) is a museum complex with an international profile, comprised of fifteen museums. The collection holds over 1 million objects and each museum shows unique treasures ranging from porcelain to anthropological artifacts to fine art and much more. Some are housed in world-renowned, painstakingly reconstructed historical buildings. The complex also engages in groundbreaking provenance research.
